CMS/Websites

We are happy to create, take on, maintain and upgrade your Typo3, Craft CMS or Redmine instances.

Typo3

Typo3 is a CMS (Content-Management-System) based on the scripting language PHP. It is very popular, especially in the German speaking area, and is also used for many websites by HeBoTek. When we first started and before we began to offer a bigger range of services, we had even been specialized on Typo3 only.

Generally speaking, Typo3 is more performant and faster than WordPress, but offers less comfort functions while developing and the developer needs to take more time to get into it, because you also have to learn the meta-language TypoScript.

Because of its numerous core features and the user interface, which is perfectly fit for a large number of pages, Typo3 is especially suitable for medium to large websites.

Here is an overview of the main features:

  • Distinctive multi-tenancy
  • Support for multi-language purposes
  • Support for multi-site development
  • Performant
  • Scalable
  • User friendly
  • Secure
  • SEO optimized
  • Customizable
  • Open Source

WordPress

WordPress is a CMS, which is, like Typo3, used to make editorial content management easier and clearer. Because of a high number of plugins, it is quite easy to build, configure and edit websites. That is why WordPress is the most popular and most used CMS worldwide for years now.

Because of the high number of plugins, a WordPress project can quickly grow to a certain size, which slows down its performance in comparison to Typo3 and leads to the fact, that is less suitable for big websites, that use a lot of database queries. Small and medium sized websites can use WordPress without any issues or performance drops, as its many features make editorial maintenance very easy and comfortable.

Here is an overview of the main features:

  • User-friendly
  • SEO-optimized
  • Customizable
  • Open Source
  • Cheap in installation and maintenance
  • Secure

Redmine

Redmine is a web-based project management tool based on the Ruby on Rails framework. With Redmine, projects can be planned and organized down to the smallest tasks. With its ticketing system, tasks can be created and assigned to the single project-stakeholders. We use Redmine for our project management (see project management), but also use it to implement requirements by our clients, like the citizen issue reporting system of the City of Krems (see projects).

Here is an overview of the main features:

  • Project planning
  • Ticketing system
  • Time tracking
  • Resource planning
  • Built-in wiki
  • Document management
  • Multi-tenancy
  • Authorization system
  • REST API
  • Open Source
